Our Philosophy

We’re losing our natural ability to lead.

Most places that claim to teach leadership actually teach management. When our brain evolved a million years ago there were no large organizations to standardize. Management—the regularization or standardization of large organizations — is a skill that must be taught. The reason that most schools and institutions teach management  is because the human brain did not evolve to be a manager.

The human brain evolved to be a leader.

Back in those ancient environments we were in small communities where violent changes might at any moment throw us in the position of having to be the person who led: who took command, who had a new idea, who innovated, who changed, who showed a new path. The effect of our current training system, by focusing on management, makes us lose track of our natural leadership skills, our natural ability to create and communicate a new story of the future. This is what the military calls leadership vision.

We restore the belief of every individual that they are born to lead—regardless of their role.

We help put them back in touch with their natural powers of vision. Once we do that, we further extend that belief so that they come to believe that every person in their organization was also born to lead. They then see it as their purpose to cultivate those same leadership skills in everyone around them on their team.

Why is that important? Because as a leader, you don’t know when you might go down. You don’t know when you might need someone else to step up and take charge. So you invest in them as you’ve invested in yourself.

That’s our philosophy. Born to lead.
